Mohamed Bajeddoub

Mohamed Bajeddoub, one of Morocco’s finest vocalists, was born in Safi in 1945 and was attracted to religious songs and those in Arabo-Andalusian style at a very early age. He was “spotted” in 1960 by Haj Driss Benjelloun, the president of the Moroccan Andalusian Music-lovers Club. His remarkably powerful voice fascinates all those who hear it. In 1995 he joined the Chabâb Al-Andalous but still makes solo appearances, or, very occasionally, appears in duo.
